Join TEAM

The TEAM Program, a unique community of learners, accepts applications for children in grades one through five. The program offers multi-age learning opportunities and focuses on developing a love for learning.

Students are guided to challenge themselves as learners and to be accountable for their choices.  Family commitment and involvement are a requirement of acceptance into the program.

Applications are accepted throughout the year.  Those received by the priority deadline of March 10, 2024 will be considered for the first round of the lottery.  Any applications received after March 10th will not be included in the first round lottery but may be wait-listed and considered for any unfilled spots.  Students are chosen by lottery, not on a first come, first served basis.

Volunteering for TEAM

The TEAM program emphasizes parental involvement, teacher continuity and the goals of independence and life-long learning. The parents, teachers and students form a learning team.

Parents are asked to expand the learning time by providing a minimum of two hours of volunteer time per week, or its equivalent, over the course of the school year. Volunteer sign-ups occur during the Fall Potluck each year. Any changes are facilitated by the Volunteer Coordinator or by Classroom Coordinators.

Part of the parent responsibility when joining the TEAM program is to allow and trust the teacher to accomplish educational goals in styles that are most suitable to the individual teacher and group of children. This style may vary depending on the activity with which the child is involved.

Examples of Parent Volunteer activities

Classroom volunteering, at-home projects, fieldtrips, Nature Bridge, PTA meetings and events, TAC meetings, TAC positions, TEAM meetings & events, spouse attendance at meetings, assisting with fundraisers, babysitting for other families so that they can volunteer for TEAM/PTA event.
