CELEBRATION OF LITERATURE

TEAM loves to read.

Each fall TEAM students get to celebrate reading.  Each student chooses a book that interest them.  After reading the book they pick a character from the book with whom they connect.  They all write a short presentation about the book, from their character's perspective. Primary spend time rehearsing their presentation, then they get to dress up as their character and present to all the different classrooms.

Intermediate: Living Wax Museum:

After intermediate students have a written presentation, they create a backdrop and present their character through a living wax museum.  A special wax museum night is scheduled.  Students set up their backdrops in the gym where family and friends get to watch the students bring their characters to life!

These are both great way for students to practice presenting in a fun way, and for their classmates to learn about new books.
